Hospice Waikato provides specialist care for Waikato people living with life limiting or terminal conditions and their whaanau. We deliver care across all settings, at home, inpatient, paediatrics, and aged residential care.
We have a holistic approach and offer medical and nursing care, counselling, social work, massage therapy, music therapy, spiritual care and much more to support whaanau. Our services cover the Waikato and we are supported by a huge team of volunteers and our wonderful retail kaimahi who turn donated goods into funds for our service.

We currently have an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Education to join our Learning & Development Team.

Our L&D Team provide education and upskilling opportunities for our own staff and volunteers as well as external healthcare professionals. As one of our two Clinical Nurse Educators, you will develop and deliver clinical education for palliative care and collaborate with other educators and specialists to provide high quality, evidence based and accessible education. In return, you will be supported by our great team and enjoy such things as free clinical supervision and staff morning teas twice a week.

What you will need to bring to the role:
  • A current Aotearoa New Zealand RN Practising Certificate
  • Experience in palliative care in the last two years preferably in a primary health community setting
  • Effective communication with strong engaging presentation skills
  • Energy and be comfortable collaborating, mentoring and coaching
  • Be comfortable working autonomously and part of an interprofessional health team
