Registered Nurse - Rainbow Place - Permanent

Registered Nurse
Permanent, ~0.7FTE

We offer low staff-to-patient ratios, time to care, robust development opportunities, a supportive team environment, and competitive salary. There is also free onsite parking, clinical supervision, staff morning teas, reiki massage and a dedicated education team.

If you find a single ward a bit limiting, this is your opportunity to have a little bit of everything.

Our Rainbow Place team are proud to be the only Hospice in New Zealand offering paediatric care services supporting children and young people aged 0-18 years, living with life limiting/threatening conditions and their whaanau.

Day to day, you will be providing respite, symptom management and be checking on whaanau. This is your chance to experience a broad range of nursing and innovative therapies as all our RainbowPlace RNs work within our Inpatient Unit, in the community and in patients’ homes.

Rainbow Place has a holistic approach, and our highly skilled nurses work with Hospice Waikato’s wider team including our Inpatient Unit, Community Nursing team, Family Services and Medical staff to build an excellent service and help families navigate their health journey. You will also be liaising with Te Whatu Ora, True Colours and other community groups.

Qualities we are looking for:
  • Registered Nurse with current annual practising certificate
  • Paediatric nursing experience, in hospital or community settings
  • Flexibility to work across a roster Monday to Friday
  • A sense of fun and a positive attitude
  • Resiliency and emotional maturity
  • Current full New Zealand driver’s license
