Westpac Waikato Business Awards Finalists Announced

The Waikato Chamber of Commerce Chief Operating Officer Paula Sutton delivered the exciting news to the Waikato businesses that were named a finalist for the Westpac Waikato Business Awards 2020 season.

'Last year I talked about the awards and what these mean to us at the Chamber, our Chamber members and the business community. This year as it turns out it is no different despite the kind of year we have all had. During lockdown we talked about the awards and what we do, do we do them, do we not. We all agreed to soldier on and keep going because we knew just how strong the Waikato Region is and gladly I can report that you did not disappoint.’ Says Sutton of the decision to go ahead with the awards and the level of entries received.

The Finalists are:

The category winners and the announcement of the Westpac Supreme Business of the Year will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner, on November 13th at Claudelands.
With over 40 businesses entered, the evening was filled with anticipation and excitement. Head Judge Dr. Heather Connolly congratulated those that were finalists for this year and noted ‘those businesses that did not make a finalist should not be disappointed, as the calibre of entrants was very strong and many have entered in prior years. Take on board the feedback provided by the judges, enhance your business, and come back stronger next year.’
It’s a busy few weeks for all of our finalist now working with Indx film to put together their finalist video and promoting their business for the Air New Zealand’s People’s Choice award. Voting for this is now live on Slido using the event code 'wwbapeopleschoice'
The Annual Awards Gala Dinner is scheduled to take place on Friday 13th November, tickets are available via the Waikato Chamber website.
Once again we would like to congratulate all of the finalists announced, and encourage everyone who entered to attend the gala dinner on the 13th November.
